Well, records are there to be broken… or matched! Harvesting our English Coriander this year on 5th September matched our previous best set in 2022.

When most UK farmers (understandably) paint a doom and gloom picture about crop yield and quality in 2026 – our English Coriander is a different story.

Moving Bees to Coriander Field

The crop has enjoyed a relatively stress-free growing season with high temperatures and plenty of the newsworthy sunshine. All of which coriander enjoys. The moisture content at 9-10% at the time of harvest meant there was no need for further drying.

For a number of years, Michael has always thought about moving one (or two) of his bee hives to the coriander ﬁelds when in ﬂower. So in June, he drove them the 13 miles (with their seat belts on) just as the crop was coming into ﬂower. We have put together a short video of this which can be found on our website, or YouTube channel. He was ‘helped’ by his grandchildren at times but categorically not by his son!
